Our story...
Roman Nagibin was born in Avdeevka town, Donetsk region. He started to dance in the local ensemble “Mosaika” at the age of six. In 2000 in order to focus on competitive dancing changed the dance club for “Tip-Top” in Donetsk city. In 2004 Roman start to teach young dancers in club and later on also to give lectures in different parts of Ukraine. Graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture with B.S. in Fitness and Ballroom dancing.
Daria Kotenko was born in Kharkiv, start to dance at age of six. During her dance career was part of different dance studios of Kharkiv. Besides dancing was fond of music and learning foreign languages, like english, spanish and japanese. At the moment start to learn italian. Daria graduated from Kharkiv National University of Economics with B.S in International Economic Relationships and Master degree in Marketing.
Our decision to dance together was made in the end of 2008. In February 2009 Daria moved to Donetsk and we start to dance and to teach in “Tip-Top” dance club.
In 2010, after Blackpool Dance Festival we was invited to work in the United States of America and starting September the new period in our life has begun. But it happened so, we wasn’t in USA for very long and came back to Ukraine in the middle of 2011. We continued to work in “Tip-Top” dance club.
In the meantime eight months full of work and dancing in USA are of a lifetime. During this period we gain a lot of dancing, teaching and simply life experience, also made a lot of new interesting acquaintances. Thanks to which came to Italy for Massimo Giorgianni and Alessia Manfredini “Work As Fire” training camp and later tried to settle in Hong Kong. To be honest after the United States it was difficult to accept the Ukrainian reality right away.
However, as they say, all the better. We are happy to apply this experience in coaching and organizing new projects. One of current projects is Massimo and Alessia’s “Work As Fire” here in Ukraine. Read more.
Besides in August 2012 we got married and moved to Kharkiv, it became a new step in our life.:)
